Baseball Chapel

Each fall the major league teams of the USA send their up and coming players to Venezuela to play baseball in the Venezuelan professional baseball league.
I serve as the chaplain for the Caracas team, Los Leones (the lions). Each Sunday morning when the team is playing in Caracas, I conduct a chapel service with the home team, the visiting team and prayer with the umpires before they go out to practice and play the game.
Venezuela is known for its great baseball players such as Andres Galaraga, Wilson Alvarez, Luis Sojo and Ozzie Gullien. Bobby Abreu and Roger Cedeno both active in the majors, return to their homeland and play for their fans with the Caracas Leones.
The lions won the national championship.
